Giving old laptops a new purpose!

The Rotary Club of Katikati Rotary Club of Katikati and the Rotary Club of Omokoroa are refurbishing unwanted computers and placing them in the hands of students across the Pacific and beyond. With more than 100 devices donated so far, this practical project is helping create better access to education while keeping valuable technology in use.

Unwanted computers are urgently needed to continue the program.

Gloss vs. Matt lamination: which one looks better?

The answer? It depends on the paper.

This particular stock chosen for menus already has a shiny surface, so the difference is notable:

✨ GLOSS LAMINATION: works with the paper’s existing shine, making the colours brighter and more vibrant.

🤍 MATT LAMINATION: takes away that shine or texture, creating a softer, more muted finish.

So neither finish is automatically “better” it’s about choosing the right combination of paper + finish + design.

Custom product labels & stickers on the Gold Coast? 🏷️ Before you print, here are 3 things worth considering 👇

1. The surface:
What are you sticking the label to? Paper, glass, plastic or something textured can all require different considerations.

2. The environment:
Will the product be exposed to moisture, sunlight or lots of handling? This can affect the material and adhesive you choose.

3. The finish:
Matte, gloss, clear, metallic or something more eye-catching? The finish can completely change the look and feel of your product.
