Can I hang washing on my radiator? And what about furniture? 🤔

We get asked this one all the time.

When it comes to furniture, a little common sense goes a long way. Smaller items like chairs, side tables and bar stools are generally fine nearby, but larger pieces such as sofas, couches and daybeds should ideally be kept at least 300–500mm away from the front of the radiator. 🛋️⚡

Why? Because these larger items can block the direct radiant heat, meaning your room may take longer to warm up.

As for washing, we don't recommend placing wet clothes directly on the radiator. Instead, use one of our clip-on drying bars to dry your laundry safely while still allowing the radiator to do its job. 👕

The less you block your radiator, the better it performs — but don't worry, it can still work around real-life homes and real-life furniture. 🏡⚡
