Hi Everyone! Dave here.
I just wanted to make a quick post about your content on here "Facebook/Meta" and the recent resurgence of posts where users have stated that they don't give permission for their information to be used.
This is a hoax, if you do not wish Meta to use your data, you need to delete it all and delete your account and not use the platform.
As with just about all online services and platforms, as well as software, the companies that run them employ teams of lawyers and policy experts to write up the "Terms and Conditions of use" as well as a "Privacy Policy" these documents alone explain in explicit detail exactly how your data will be stored and used, and are usually made in such a way that they are congruent with legislative requirements in various jurisdictions. in most cases when you sign up you said you agree to these documents, as well, often it is stipulated that by using a service you automatically agree to the terms provided.
The best way to ensure nothing you want to be kept private, is used in any way, is by not putting it onto the internet in the first place. there are an abundance of solutions to store your data privately and securely, and although they may lack the convenience of "Cloud Storage" or other online storage of data, they do give you the ability to completely secure your data.
However making social media posts about how you "DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION" makes absolutely no difference, and if anything highlights you as a potential target for scammers and hackers, so thus, actually making your data and experience LESS SAFE AND SECURE!!
IF you require assistance with determining the best level of security for you and your data, integrating alternative storage solutions, at home or in the workplace, as well as any other assistance you may require for your computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and interconnected entertainment and household appliances, don't hesitate to contact us!
