Energy Pop- Up Stall!!
In partnership with Care Financial, on Thursday the 20th of August we are having a pop-up stall with the focus on energy. Care Financial will provide initial consultation for our clients which may include referral to one of their Financial Counsellors, if needed, to assist households in managing their energy costs.

In the last term we have had 2 cohorts of students come through and do their 200 hour placements. Unfortunately, we were not able to take photos of many of our students, but we are very grateful for the time they spent with us. Good luck with the rest of your studies!

Life Woman have done it again!!
Life woman donated, packed and delivered winter care packs for the lovely woman in our community this winter. This initiative is so thoughtful and appreciated. The woman and families these were given to were so grateful, it is so lovely to be able to see the smiles when giving them out. Thankyou to all who donated, packed and delivered these wonderful gifts.

Canberra City Care was able to deliver 96 meals to one of our wonderful food relief partners. Anne Thorpe gratefully received the meals on behalf of YWAM in there kitchen at Watson. We love being able to support our wider community through helping each other. A big thankyou to SecondBite who provided us with the meals.

A big thankyou to the two donors that made it possible for the Redeemers Sewing Group to be able to buy a new sewing machine. This will go a long way towards enabling more projects to being achieved, as well as blessing our sewing group immensely. Thankyou!!

Souper Saturday was a great success!!!
Canberra City Care was able to host a lovely hot soup and bread lunch for our community. We had an abundance of food and lots of lovely people to serve. We truly love being able to bless our community and make stronger connections.
Thankyou to all the volunteers that came in to serve on the Saturday as well as those who helped set up during the week, you are all amazing.

Canberra City Care hosted a crew from Amaroo Scout Group. around 17 teenagers were given a tour of the grounds and then they were able to help us with a big recycling job. The primary focus was for them to learn about food insecurity and help out the community. It was lovely to hear about what they do and that these teens had a great interest in wanting to help their community. They were lovely enough to present this certificate to us. Thanks Guys!!

Redeemers Sewing group has donated these items to Roundabout Canberra today.
We love being able to bless partners in our community. Our sewing group is well on the way to having our hamper bags sewn as well as making these lovely donations and putting things in our shop. They are truly amazing.

Souper Saturday!!!
Canberra City Care is hosting our next event on the 11th of July. It will be held in Cafe CatchUp. We would love for your to join us for a free soup and bread lunch. There will be two sittings, the first from 12pm till 1pm and the second from 1pm till 2pm. If you are interested in attending please register at our reception. Cant wait to see you there!!!
