You can plan the perfect engagement session…

…and then a toddler decides it’s time for an impromptu swim in the duck pond directly behind your couple.

I was photographing an engagement session in Dubbo when this little one decided to make a break for it — and naturally, my camera was already pointed in exactly the right direction.

Of course I sent the photos straight to Mum because honestly… these are the moments you don’t want to miss.

And before the internet police arrive — YES, she was supervised! Toddlers are just ridiculously quick when they decide they’re going somewhere.

Engagement photos, duck pond adventures and a little bit of chaos… just another day behind the camera.
