After more than 30 years of bringing Santa photos to our community, it is with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to share some very sad news.
We will sadly not be providing Santa photos at the shopping centre this year.
Over the years, Santa photography has become so much more than simply taking a photo. It has been about creating memories, sharing the excitement of Christmas, seeing familiar faces year after year, and being part of so many families' Christmas traditions.
We have watched your little ones grow up in front of our cameras. We have seen children come back year after year, then grow into teenagers, young adults and parents themselves. And one of the most special things has been seeing so many of those children now bringing their own children to continue the tradition.
That is something we will treasure forever.
Unfortunately, changes implemented by the shopping centre mean that Santa photography will now be handled by their own team, meaning we are no longer able to continue providing this service.
We are incredibly disheartened and saddened by this decision. Not only because we love what we do, but because this has always been about our connection with the local community and the wonderful families who have supported us for so many years.
It also means that we will sadly be unable to provide work for the many local young people we have employed over the years during the Christmas season. For many of them, their first job, first pay packet and first experience in the workforce came through our Santa photography team. Knowing we won't be able to offer those opportunities this year is particularly difficult for us.
And, with these changes, our much-loved Santa will also be moving on to a new chapter. He has been such a special part of what we have created over the years, and we are incredibly grateful for all the joy, kindness and Christmas spirit he has brought to countless families.
We want to sincerely thank every single person who has supported us over the past 30+ years. Thank you for trusting us with your precious Christmas memories. Thank you for coming back year after year. Thank you for recommending us to your friends and family. And thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your family's story.
We have over the last few months people enquiring/checking we were still doing them and unfortunately this happened VERY suddenly so we just want to make everyone before there is some shock at Christmas time.
We are genuinely going to miss seeing all those familiar faces.
While this chapter is sadly coming to an end, the memories we've created together will stay with us forever.
