One of the more common prerequisites we encounter is the old 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 / 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 chestnut. And whilst there're plenty of powerful amplifiers that aren't overly big, more often than not their quality of output isn't too flash either.

This was conducive to us hunting high end low for a good quality, modestly sized, powerful amplifier that actually sounded great too. Which lead to a chance encounter with the SD series from US titan Audio Dynamics; specifically the SD1400.6. At four Ohms this little six channel marvel boasts four channels at 125 Watts plus two channels at 200 Watts; with a footprint of 278 mm x 114 mm and height of just 50 mm.
