It is crazy to think ARPANET (pre-internet) was boasting of speeds of 2.4kbit/s to 50kbit/s. There is 1000kbit inside 1 Mbps. That would mean the Sloth Net PRO service is 102400kbit/s! Interestingly the protocol TCP/IP , which was made as the standard for network communication in 1983 is still used today.
