Security Alert: We have been working through an incident where a client approved application, in 365, was found to be spamming a huge number of people across the globe.
These are applications where the user has been able to give consent to the application accessing their calendar and/or inbox to run a task. If you've used a program like Calendly, you would be familiar with the prompt for permission comes up.
Unfortunately, the FBI has been investigating use of certain tools, to exploit these permissions.
While its super easy, to set and forget. Its also worth reviewing these permissions, to keep your data, yours and stopping spammers in their tracks.
