Ready, Steady, Go (again!) - if you tried to submit your Round 3 Business Basics Grant on May 4th you will have no doubt experienced the system meltdown of SmartyGrants.

DESBT has announced today that the Regional Stream (of which Southern Downs businesses will apply under) will re-open one day earlier than the SEQ stream, so the new date to be ready to put your applications in is next Monday 16th May 2022 at 9am.

Please note if you tried to submit your application on May 4th, you will need to resubmit on May 16th.

You may be eligible for a single up-front fixed grant payment of $5,000 (excluding GST).
A new round of grant funding has been released from the government and applications open on the 8th of September 2021.

The grant offer is only open to local businesses in Regional Queensland, the entire Southern Downs region is eligible.
This support includes funding for the following:
• New Website Builds
• Upgrade of Existing Website
• Add an online store to your existing website
• Website Refresh
• Developing new website content
• I.T. & Internet Training or coaching
• Cybersafety training and tools

To be eligible for this grant, your business must:
• Not have been approved for funding under Round 1 of the Business Basics Grants program.
• Have fewer than 20 employees (by headcount) at the time of applying for the grant.
• Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
• Have a Queensland headquarters and be based in regional Queensland – note the entire Southern Downs area is eligible.
• Have a turnover of $300,000 or less for the last financial year (2020–21).
• Have owners or directors that are not insolvent or an undischarged bankrupt.

It's Grant Time Again!!!!

If you are needing a new website or a refresh or update of your current one you can apply from the 31st of May for a $5000 government grant. You just need to a registered QLD business with an ABN, have less than 20 employees & have a turnover of less than $300,000.

They will only be accepting applications until the 30th of June or until the money runs out so get in there quickly and get your business a new website or facelift.
