The quote request that wasn't
How to spot a scam enquiry before it costs you.
This week we received a "new client enquiry" that had all the hallmarks of a scam: a sender name that didn't match the email address, a company that didn't exist anywhere online, and a vague request designed to get us talking so a follow-up email (often with a malicious attachment) could land next.
A few tells worth teaching your whole team:
→ Sender name doesn't match the email address
→ Vague, generic requests with no real detail
→ Urgency to reply quickly
Not sure if your team would catch this? We run practical phishing-awareness sessions for small teams.
