Watch out for the latest phishing scam in your email box. They pretend to be contacting you from a hospital, advising you have been in contact with someone with Coronavirus.
An Excel document is attached, asking you to complete your details, print it out and present it to your nearest hospital.
Once you download the form and fill it out the scammers will have all your personal details.

With the current COVID-19 situation, social distancing and self isolation may become necessary. If this occurs, we will be relying on our IT products more than ever.

The Windows 7 End of Life date has been announced - January 20, 2020

What does that mean? .. It means that from that day forward, Microsoft will no longer be supporting systems with Windows 7 installed. This includes feature updates, bug fixes and security updates.

How does this affect me? The PC will still run fine on Windows 7. Security updates should be important to everyone, but they are not essential. Every day, hackers are finding new security flaws, loopholes and ways to bypass security on Windows computers. As these are found and reported to Microsoft, they release security updates to their software, making it more secure. The longer a computer goes without security updates, the more vulnerable to attacks your computer becomes and these attacks are likely not to be stopped by your antivirus program either.

What do I need to do? Depending on the age of your computer, you may be able to upgrade your PC to run Windows 10. Generally, if your computer is newer that 3 years it should be able to support Windows 10. If it is older, you may run into issues with trying to run a newer software on older hardware. It may be time to upgrade your hardware at the same time.
