Great to see the final result of this project I've been working on with the Camden Men’s Shed in their new building, to acknowledge all their generous supporters.
Through this generosity from local businesses and community members, the Camden Men’s Shed is progressing nicely. Plenty of work to still be done and any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. I am grateful for the past generations of my family, who have preserved all this wonderful history and passed it along to be shared with you all. The book shares our history of farming in Camden and the various challenges faced over the past century including droughts, the effects of World War II and the modern advances in agricultural farming, along with recollections of early Cawdor settlement, school days at Cawdor, Mount Hunter and Camden, working for Camden Park Estate, Junior Farmers’ Club, showing Ayrshire cattle and even making the big screen on ‘A Place to Call Home’.
