We have another one of these events coming up on Saturdsy 1st of March 2025. The event will be held at our Kularoo Drive location and places will be limited. Who remembers old school LAN parties? The days when gaming was all about getting friends together in a physical space and playing old school shooters like CS and Quake 3 Arena, BF2 and more. Watching the reaction from across the room when you consistently owned a player round after round. Talking trash and just generally having a good time while enjoying crap cola and pizzas to keep you up all night gaming.

These times are a bit of thing of the past but we are trying to see what sort of interest there is for an event in the local area. The event would host a dedicated server onsite and all needed game files would be available for download on the day.

There would be a small entry fee to cover food and other running costs. More details would follow once we gauge interest for it.

Importance of Microsoft 365 Backup

Contrary to popular belief, your data in the cloud isn’t immune to loss. It’s susceptible to the same risks that your on-premises data faces. This makes backing up your Microsoft 365 data not just an afterthought, but a business-critical necessity. The criticality of Microsoft 365 applications is only increasing as organizations expand their usage of SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. So, the need to have a backup of Microsoft 365 data is also increasing. Microsoft has announced they are developing their own Microsoft 365 backup solution, so this in itself proves it is a priority.

Microsoft’s Responsibility vs. Your Responsibility

Microsoft has provided a Shared Responsibility Model to help their customers understand where Microsoft’s responsibility ends and theirs begins. The model clearly displays that the responsibility of protecting your data ultimately lies in your hands, and not in Microsoft’s. So, what does Microsoft provide? Microsoft is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of its services, ensuring it’s accessible and protected from service-side issues. They are also responsible for many other elements.

Oz Data Tech will be closing it's doors from the 21st of December until the 8th of January 2024. We will have a line monitored for emergencies only during this period.
