WHAT IS A BRAND STRATEGY, AND WHY DO I NEED ONE?
I understand that not every client out there has the budget for an in-depth strategy before commencing the development of their brand and I don't think it is fair to exclude them from being able to still have a beautiful brand. That is why some of my branding packages include a brand strategy, and some don't. That being said, my clients that do go down the brand strategy route, will always end up with a more successful brand.
This is because together, we are thinking about the purpose of the brand, who they are targeting and what they are wanting to achieve before jumping straight into the design side of things. By approaching your branding with a strategic foundation, you are more likely to get the results you need and in turn, grow your business.
My brand strategy identifies 8 vital components of a brand before even starting on any design elements. These include:
- Brand vision
- Brand purpose
- Core values
- Brand keywords
- Target market
- Brand positioning
- Competitor analysis
- Visual moodboard & creative direction
This document lays the foundation for the design of the brand and ensures that we are creating a brand with intention, that attracts the right people whilst enabling you to stand out amongst the competition.
