On Thursday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio launched a historic global effort to eradicate left-wing political terrorism, calling it a "distinctive and unique evil" rooted in hatred for civilization itself.

Rubio warned that left-wing terrorism is on the rise, including from Antifa groups who cross global borders to aid in attacks. He described such violence as an existential threat to America's existence.

“This is a distinctive and unique evil. It has always been driven by a hatred, above all else, for civilization itself,” Rubio stated.
