I've been reading a fair bit of recently - to help my son in his early years educational journey. We have had the luck of having one of the most inspirational teachers I've come across in my short but fun-packed journey into primary school education.

But what I'm reading goes beyond how we can get the best out of our educational systems, it's also massively true for my work, my life, my systems. To get the best out of yourself and your business, you have to be able to have the conviction to zig when others zag. Especially when the conformities of the norm are restrictive, uninspiring and unengaging.

What lights a fire inside to make you brave enough to zig?

I keep on seeing this phrase and I have decided that I quite like it.

Just a few flags that I’ve been working on with IOB. Using the talented Mikaela Miller’s now disassembled mural design.

It’s great to repurpose content, especially fantastic artwork that was never destined to be permanent.

A fabulous 5 minute read about the wonderful Matthias Hoene!

Great insight into a true creative brain.

The best filmmakers combine technical mastery with an unrivaled ability to observe and articulate the human condition. Their gifts include a rare combination of craft and emotional sensitivity – two elements that happened to define Matthias Hoene’s childhood in Berlin. His mother was an altern...

Reconciliation Week 2020.

We are reaching the end of ‘Conciliation’ Week here in Australia. The wonderful Louise O'Reilly coined that phrase during her week-long course ‘Introduction to Culturally Inclusive Language’ on Ascension Personal Development page. I highly recommend that everyone take the time to listen to it. Really listen to it.

Louise talks from a place of love and compassion and with the important aim of educating people to be inclusive without having to think about it as much as we have to currently.

I love this image of the dragonfly. The Indigenous people of the Northwest Coast of Australia know the dragonfly is of the wind and water. It represents a symbol of change in the view of self-understanding.

I loved this sentiment and wanted to share this feeling and to say I feel like I have grown.

As a white person, I will never be able to understand. I accept what I do not know and I’m educating myself to be better.
