GOOD HABITS 🧘🏼‍♀️

I hit my stride with this one, I managed to pack in all of my favourite things

I love all of the industries that I get to work with but I do have a soft spot for the service industry. No matter who I work with it’s always so genuinely interested to hear what your up to, tell me your stories! Just a heads up can’t promise I can keep a meeting to only an hour though, really don’t mind a chat!

LUNA & SAGE 🔮

When I started really running with my Instagram page a few months ago I loved working on design briefs created by the many wonderful accounts on insta to build my portfolio. I absolutely still do but have started the feel pressure to push content out within a time frame that I enevitably haven’t been enjoying it as much as I could. I also realized I was putting a lot of effort into something with no real end goal other than to create content - all parts of this were of my own creation and really why???

Time to get a little nerdy last year I completed a post grad in project management and one of my favourite tools for root cause analysis is the 5 whys. Long story short, channel your annoying inner 3 year old and ask why until you get to the bottom of whatever problem you have and from here work out a strategy.

I took time out and did exactly that and I’m excited again that I’m back on the right path and it’s sooooo ok to take time to create something you love. I went through all of the brief accounts and found my favourites that align to the kind designs I want to create and the people I wanted to work with. I’ll be merrily creating what I love with heaps of illustration and texture work just with no set time frame. As for the rest, 2023 is starting to look pretty awesome, watch this space! 🤩

HUMANKYND 💆‍♀️

I may have got a bit carried away with the colour on this one 😅 ….. nah! When I design packaging I design with how I would feel buying/owning it in mind. Branding is a whole journey, from the shelf or website to purchasing to using, every step the brand matters. For this brand I kept thinking of how it would look in a store, all the boxes together in a happy slightly trippy juxtaposition. I love exploring the different facets of design - dynamic, static, mono, modular - there’s no chance of getting bored the possibilities are endless.

HUMANKYND 🫧

This finally came out how I imagined but seshhh it took some time. I had a really cool conversation today about the creative process and how at the point you think it’s over, you can’t do it and your ready to give in, is actually the point your left brain gives up and your right creative brain kicks in, THAT’s when the magic happens and it allllllll comes right in the end - TRUTH!!

Looking forward to mock ups we’re in cruising territory now 😎

SUN ON FIRE 🧘🏽

One of my most favorite parts about being a designer and something I’m super passionate about is helping my clients understand and educating them on the what’s and whys about their brand.

All designers get the ‘can you make me a logo’ question. Most often the answer is no we create brands but thinking about how we respond is everything! Why do our clients need a brand, what is it and what the hell do they do with it once they have one?

All of the branding I create includes responsive logos that can be used across a multitude of platforms and a debrief with me on how to use them. There is nothing better than seeing clients nailing their socials and rocking your hard work. To all of my clients, thanks for trusting and choosing me, I think your awesome 🫶🏼🤩
