Each year, Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania care for approximately 3,000 lost, abandoned, and surrendered dogs at four Homes across Tasmania: Launceston, Burnie, Devonport, and Hobart. Every dog rehomed is temperament tested, given a full health check, desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped before being offered for adoption.

We’ve been working with the team at Dogs' Homes of Tasmania for a while now and this year we are also supporting their 2027 Calendar – keep an eye out for when it goes on sale – in the meantime you can find out more and support them to continue this important work here: https://www.dhot.com.au/

With the new cash acceptance rules in Australia, there’s been some confusion across cafés, retailers, and venues here in Tassie.

The good news:
✅ Most Tasmanian small businesses can still choose to accept cash
✅ The rules mainly apply to supermarkets and fuel retailers
✅ If you don’t accept cash, just make it clear to customers before they buy
