We received an urgent request for assistance with recovering a customer’s mobile device, and the important company data on it. This is not unusual, we do these types of recoveries periodically.
Then we found out that said mobile had been dropped into a canal on the coast, 24 hours previously in about 2.5 metres of murky, muddy water! 😳😱. This is different from any mobile recovery we’ve done before.
Undaunted, we deployed our ‘Scuba IT’ department to search for the phone, which we WERE able to locate and recover, much to the customer’s immense relief.
Incredibly, the mobile device was still powered up and working when we found it, and all data on the device was recovered!
Very happy outcome indeed!

A traineeship that started 2 years ago has resulted in a youngster achieving a Cert IV in Information Systems, and a permanent position at All Computer Services!
Congratulations to Matthew Timperley for his training, perseverance and dealing with all of us in the process. 🙌 🥇🏆

I can’t fault the team’s commitment to the task.

I discovered that they are taking our anti-virus capability to new levels.

Below is a photo of a lab experiment to measure the effectiveness of a yeast-infused liquid virus filter designed to prevent an actual biological infection.

Apparently the results will be known in about 3 weeks. 👍

Big milestone birthday yesterday for young Matthew Timperley - 2 decades old!

Congrats, Matt, welcome to your twenties! When the guys say that “the office is not as much fun as it is when Matt is here”, says a lot about Matt.

And by the looks of it we sorta almost nearly got him to give us a smile! 😂👍

Hazards of not feeling great when it’s your birthday, but you have to go to the office in case your colleagues eat your birthday cake without you! Which we most definitely would have. 😝😱😈

Spent the afternoon as a guest of MMLaw this afternoon. Got to meet one of the great players ever to play the game they play in heaven. Skipper of the Wallabies - John "Nobody" Eales.

South Africans are quick to give opposition players sketchy, derogatory nicknames, but I can honestly say that no-one I know ever had a bad word to say about John Eales. He was respected and admired by all those that I know. Safe to say I was a bit star-struck. Gentleman and Legend!

At All Computer Services, we pride ourselves on having LOTS of experience. One of us in particular has MORE experience than the rest of us! Happy cake day anniversary, Kev!
Kevin requested a ‘healthy option’ for his cake. We got him a ‘healthy cake’ option, arranged specifically in the manner that he likes to re-arrange the fruit in the office.

When l asked Kevin for any wisdom he may have developed due to his advanced ‘experience’, he advised that his best advice is that any South Africans that emigrate to Australia should try to rid themselves of their SA accent, and instead adopt a British one, which gives the appearance of greater intelligence! 😳😃
