I specialise in designing and making replacement parts such as; gears, mechanisms and broken/missing details for the common Australian model scales; HO/OO (16.5mm), HOn3.5 (12mm), HOn30/n (9mm).

Unfortunately due to a series of lost-in-mail issues I'll be sending all orders as tracked parcels from now on. This means the minimum cost of postage will be $9.70 (rather than $3 untracked letter).

This only affects small items such as gears that could be sent as letters.

Quite a bit of progress on the updated replacement chassis for Powerline Class 48. Shown here in comparison with the original.

Main updates over the previous version;
- mechanism now sits much lower in chassis; more space in shell for DCC/Sound etc
- new motor mount; more durable and allows alternative motor options
- fuel tank now secured to chassis; previously used shell screws
- smaller motor, larger flywheels; same as will be in 44Ton chassis
- new gear layout in bogies; this took the most time, with a few hundred gears now in the junk pile
- new pickup layout in bogies; the solution was simple, the journey to get there was not.
- bogie mounts now detach with the bogie; much easier to remove/install.
- improved bogie sideframe attachment; more positively locates the sideframes and can (almost) be affixed without glue.

Owners of the Lima replacement chassis will recognise some of these design choices.

Possibly the most significant update is that the bogies are the same across all gauges. I'm unsure that there are many who value this feature, but the capability to re-gauge the chassis with a few dollars in parts is now a possibility.

This will be the final rework for this chassis. From this point on (just as with the Lima replacements) the only part that may change is the motor, as it is dependent on availability.

I have an excess of mostly HO scale American locomotives and rolling stock that I have been in the process of selling. Due some annoying updates from eBay it has become, shall we say "undesirable" to sell these on that platform.

At some point I will compile a spreadsheet of them, but here is a short list;
- Proto 2000 Diesels; GP7, GP9, PA etc
- Bachmann Spectrum Steam; 2-10-0, 2-10-2 etc
- Bachmann Spectrum railmotors; Doodlebugs
- Bachmann Spectrum passenger carriages; Missouri Pacific x 6
- Atlas/Kato diesels; RS1, U33C
- 7 or so brass locos (Tenshodo, KTM, Samhongsa etc) from 0-6-0 upto 2-8-8-2

If you are interested, send me a message and I'll provide some more details, photos etc. I have an idea on prices, but since there are no eBay fees, and not in auction form, buyers can expect a pretty good deal. In most cases these are excellent DC & DCCR models that I have simply too many of.

Parts restocking is trickling in. Motors for Lima & Powerline chassis are expected this week!

It will be nice to start selling things again and seeing money return. So many parts ran out at the same time so it was a significant outlay to order another years worth of parts :(

Any interest in a high detail model of the NSWGR Class 38 Tender shell? (to suit ARM)

Just a thought as I already produce the chassis, why not produce the rest of the tender? I don't know if there was any variations to the tender (or an auxiliary tender), or if there is a fictitious option you'd like to see? eg Vanderbuilt, whaleback, sausage, slopeback etc

I'm shelving all HOn30 (9mm) products until a later date.

These are some of my oldest kits and most/all the models need some touch ups to bring them up to the current standard of detail and assembly. However, due to the general lack of demand (that translates into actual sales) I currently can't justify the time to sort them out.

The updates will be chipped away in the background if/when I have spare time.

Is there any interest in this size & style of locomotive?

This is a revised proof of concept of a model I made a long while ago. Based on a Baldwin 0-4-0 saddle tank (Kia Ora, built 1884, Western Australian Rail Transport Museum). If there is interest I will dedicate more time to it; details, coupling rods etc. To be available in HO, HOn3.5 & maybe HOn3
