Ben & Mollie🫶✨🤍 I had the absolute honour to create artwork illustrations for my best pals & wedding yesterday. I’ve known Ben for 10 years now and we lived together in Australia. He was there for my first mural, and really the inception of me becoming an artist. He’d watch me bring in canvases to paint, hide my paint supplies as a prank but always has supported my art. He’s even signed up to my postcard club and has a membership for his mum too.

It’s been beautiful to watch his love story with Mollie. See their travels, adventures and the next set of challenges they take on. So when they asked me to be part of their special day by creating the artwork for each table that showcases the people and the places they love, I couldn’t be happier. Including all the key landmarks, special spots they enjoyed together and hidden little details. 10 tables, 10 locations. ✈️

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Morris 🤍 ily guys

Day five of painting in Mostar 🇧🇦🎨

I started the day with , learning more about his process …particularly how he mixes colours and lays everything down. It really made me realise just how much I still have to learn, but also made me so excited to get back home, start putting what I’ve learned into practice and keep experimenting with my own work.

Then it was back to my mural, with a very necessary coffee stop from .futuor from Coco Loco ☕️ They were so lovely!

And finally… I finished my mural! 🥹

This was definitely one of the toughest surfaces I’ve ever painted on. There were so many different textures and, with the wall having been exposed to the elements for so long, plenty of cracks, damage and bullet holes to work around. I actually ended up incorporating some of those holes into the dandelions rather than trying to hide them.

But this is it… finished! 🌼

If you’re ever in Mostar and find yourself near the Glass Bank, I hope you get a chance to go and see it in person. ❤️

Thanks to and for making it happen and of course the whole team for the opportunity to paint .

Day four painting in Mostar 🎨

Turned up to quite a few cars parked in front of our walls, so it took us a little while to get them cleared before we could properly get started. Once we did, we were able to lay down a lot more colour. got most of his wall done, and I managed to get mine to a stage where I knew I could come back the next day and start adding a lot more of the details.

I then spent a couple of hours mentoring with , learning a bit more about how he mixes his colours and lays everything down, which was really interesting to see. I also tried a fig for the first time 😂

We finished the day with the most amazing dinner in the Old Town, followed by some wine at with some new friends 🍷

A pretty good day four in Mostar ❤️

Day 1 ✈️ today we headed from Belfast International to Dubrovnik before we took a car to cross the border into Bosnia & Herzegovina. On our way we stopped at Kravica Waterfalls which honestly was one of my favourite places I’ve been. Beer, food, waterfalls and 37 degrees 👌🏽we finally made it to Mostar where we went for a walk to check out old town and the bridge . Then off to the arts district to meet fellow street artists before we start painting this week.

Stay tuned for tomorrow where I begin my mentorship

Excited to announce that I will be painting in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina over the next week. I applied for a street art mentorship program through Seedhead Arts and Belfast City Council and was one of 6 selected. 👏 This program allows me to work with another street artist to expand my skills and one thing I was really wanting to work at was portraits and brush work. So I reached out to Artez . He is a talented artist that I spotted at Upfest Bristol and was so intrigued by his use of space and process and he agreed. We are meeting at SAFMo a street art festival in Mostar BIH were I will mentored and then on the last two days 𝗙𝝨𝝥𝝛 and I will be painting our own wall.

I’m so excited for this adventure, to meet new art pals, see a new country and paint something super special. Follow along for the journey . We take off first thing in the morning tomorrow ✈️

That a wrap on The Fleadh 2026 👏 sorry I’m a bit late to this as I needed a few days to recover from it. After spending nearly two months with no days off prepping this design, painting murals for it and then making stock so I could live paint every day of The Fleadh I was exhausted to say the least. But wow what an event and privilege to see Belfast so alive and full of energy. Over 1.6million visitors, so much music and events .

Thank you to every single person who stopped by and watched me paint, bought a print, tshirt, stickers . Big thank you to Willie Jack for giving me the space to do this under the umbrellas and supporting my illustration . I’ll be finishing the painting over the next week so stay tuned. Right I’m off to get a coffee and plan the next map 🫶 Danni

"We’re used to all of this fast art and AI sort of stuff, so being able to see real, human art and the process behind it is really important."

A Belfast-based artist is spending roughly 100 hours creating a new mural that captures the music, landmarks and familiar faces of this year’s Fleadh.

Danni Simpson is painting the detailed piece live beneath the rainbow umbrellas in Commercial Court, opposite the Duke of York, throughout the eight-day festival.
