Just a heads up that we are seeing a number of malicious email attachments that are encrypted ZIP files (so can't be scanned) and the sender has included the unlock password in the email, so the user is tempted to open it.

The reason for the password encryption is to get through virus scanners. Please do not open any password protected files especially if the password is in the email. If you need to send password protected files you should always send the password via a different channel, such as a text message.

If you receive a file that seems suspicious, even if it's from a known contact, it's best to call them and confirm verbally that it's OK.
