Unfortunately, the Microsoft outage is also affecting some functionality of Dragon Medical One - including access to the PowerMic Mobile app. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope this is rectified as quickly as possible.

: Major IT outages have been reported, affecting multiple services and companies both across Australia and internationally.

Affected institutions include government services, banks and major media organisations.

VoiceX Tips & Tricks:

Did you know that you can change the operation mode of your SpeechMike Premium without needing to install any additional software? This is very handy if you use your SpeechMike with different applications, for example SpeechExec and Dragon.

Enter Mode Selection by holding the EOL/PRIO and INS/OVR key together for a few seconds until the orange lights illuminate. From here, press one of the following keys to changed modes:

F1 - Event Mode: This is the "normal" mode and sends events to the PC when each button is pressed. This mode will natively control SpeechExec, Dragon Medical One, Dragon Professional Anywhere and other specific applciations.

INS/OVR - Dragon Mode (Windows): This mode sends keyboard shortcuts when each button is pressed. The keys are pre-defined to provide helpful functions when using Dragon products and can be customised using Speech Control.

F3 - Browser Mode: This mode sends key combinations specific to SpeechLive in your web browser (Chrome recommended).

Did you know that Dragon Medical One & Dragon Professional Anywhere is hosted in Australia?

Dragon cloud-based speech recognition solutions - Dragon Medical One and Dragon Professional Anywhere - are securely hosted in Australia within a Microsoft Azure environment operating with a GUARANTEED uptime of 99.9% through two geographically-distributed locations across the country.

All data is transmitted via HTTPS utilising TLS 1.2, with an AES 256-bit
cipher algorithm. Audio is never stored locally on a client’s device, and
recognised text is encrypted and returned directly to the target application
for persistent storage.

Dragon Tip #1!
The importance of exiting Dragon after you have finished using it.

When you have completed your dictation session, make sure you shut down Dragon. This is important for all versions of Dragon, but for different reasons.

Cloud versions (DMO, DPA, etc): The cloud versions of Dragon continuously adjust to your voice and adapt in the background. Many of these adaptations take place during use, however others can only be done when the profile is closed.

Local versions (DPI, DPG, DMPE, etc): Local version of Dragon consume more PC resources (memory in particular) the longer they are left open. This can lead to slower system performance and instability. Allowing you PC to go to sleep or hibernate without closing Dragon can also result in profile corruption. In the worst case, this may require starting a new Dragon profile.
