RACMA, recognised by the Australian and New Zealand Medical Councils, is a specialist medical college offering education, training and advice in medical leadership and management.

We prioritised user experience and improved navigation in this reskin and build, creating an intuitive platform for its users across all devices.

Melbourne-based Brightlabs Increases Foothold in AU Market with Acquisition of Redline Digital; Seeking Further Opportunities

Bright Labs, a fast-growing independent, full-service digital agency headquartered in Melbourne, has announced its first-ever acquisition, bolstering its Australian team and further establishing its presence in the AU market. The purchase of digital marketing agency Redline Digital Media allows Bright Labs to strengthen its position as a genuinely full-service digital services provider for clients.

Bright Labs founder Rishad Sukhia acquired Redline Digital Media for an undisclosed sum. The deal was finalised in March 2023, enabling Bright Labs to absorb Redline Digital's client roster, including brands such as Abey Australia, Arlec, Kent Removals and William Angliss.

Additionally, all senior staff members and several contractors from Redline Digital have joined the Bright Labs team. Redline Digital's co-founders, Damian Newton and Michelle Barnard-Marks, will continue as Bright Labs' Client Solutions Director and New Business Director, respectively.

Established in 2014, Redline Digital Media is a data-driven digital marketing agency with expertise in content marketing, search engine optimisation, paid advertising, social media marketing, and web development. Describing itself as providing "high-performance digital", its diverse clientele spans multiple sectors across Australia.

Bright Labs, founded a decade earlier in 2004, boasts a full-service offering, including brand design, UI/UX design, development, digital marketing, and film production. The agency has attracted high-profile clients such as VicRoads, Woolworths, Victoria State Government, Diabetes Victoria, Alba Thermal Spa & Springs, and Forty Winks. In addition, it has extensive experience providing solutions targeted at Indigenous youth services, working closely with DHHS and V***A on the "Deadly Story" youth portal.

"This acquisition is a fantastic opportunity to enhance Bright Labs' existing offering. Bright Labs is looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our team.

With a strong attention to detail and quality, ability to think outside the box and an attitude for continual learning, the role requires you to contribute to the development of several projects.

Reporting to the Lead Delivery Manager, this role will also work closely with other Development and Creative functions to deliver projects to specification. This role offers you the ability to expand your experience in the digital agency landscape and Bright Labs is committed to investing in staff training and your career development.

Required Attributes and Skills

- 4+ years commercial development experience working on websites (preferably in an agency environment)
- Good communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
- Strong experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
- Experience implementing responsive, CMS driven websites
- Experience writing modern PHP (PHP5. PHP7), OO, Unit Testing
- Experience with Laravel framework or equivalent highly regarded
- Experience with version control - ideally Git
- Ability to design and query databases, MySQL preferable
- Developing sites that are SEO friendly and optimised for speed
- Comfortable using SSH
- An eye for detail

You'll also know (though not a strict requirement)

- Data handling, particularly related to user input
- Web Accessibility and Web Standards
- AJAX/XML/JSON

Desirable but not essential

- Relevant IT degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Best practice Search Engine Optimisation techniques
- Experience working with Social Media platforms (OAuth)
