Its weird to think in 2018 I built oomph design as a side hustle so I could get a better understanding of the design world. I literally had no idea what I was doing! Most of what I learnt in the beginning was from YouTube.

I had no idea where it would lead and knew if I wanted to do what I love, I had to make the leap of faith.

My biggest hurdle has always been myself, wanting to be the best, work for huge brands, get recognition. Doing this only created doubt and losing purpose. It’s not about being “the best”, it’s about doing what you love. And by doing that, I have accomplished everything I always wanted.

Having this business has meant meeting incredible people, learning, developing, creating and being part of somebody else’s dream.

There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing I helped someone pursue their dream.

I literally have the best job!

Designing for clients can be challenging. I am always trying to improve the process to ensure everything is communicated properly throughout all design stages. If there is one thing I have learnt...no one has time!
So this is my biggest challenge for both the client and myself.
Each client is given a structed design process that details the timeline of their project. This not only helps them to understand the time it takes to complete their design, but also helps me to manage my time with multiple clients at the one time.

odoo (tracks your time while you work and also forecasts productivity)

Tello - The most visual way for teams to collaborate on project
Remember the Milk - Free task manager
