Anthropic just wiped $285 billion off the stock market.

Claude Cowork launched industry-specific agents for legal, sales, and finance. Wall Street panicked. The enterprise software sector bled. Here are the numbers:

• Atlassian: -47% YTD (down 80% from 2021 highs)
• Salesforce: -25% YTD (45% below 52-week high)
• Workday: Price target slashed from $285 to $230

Morgan Stanley named Claude Cowork specifically as the catalyst. Not "market headwinds." A specific product from a specific company.

Here's why:

The incumbents built their empires on rigidity. Atlassian charges per seat for Jira workflows that haven't changed in a decade. Salesforce locks you into annual contracts for CRM fields you can't modify without a consultant. Workday takes 6 months to implement because their codebase predates the iPhone.

AI agents just made all of that optional.

Task boards are dead.

Not deprecated. Not "enhanced with AI." Dead.

Why would any business pay $15/seat/month for a Kanban board when an AI agent can custom-code a workflow perfectly matched to their actual process in 20 minutes? Not a template nor a plugin. Rather, a system built specifically for how your team works.

Joined Tourism Noosa this week because I want to see local businesses thrive — actually build systems that give them leverage, and hold strong throughout the tourism season.

Their Summer 2025 forecast shows why this matters now:

→ 78% occupancy over Christmas (up from 68%)
→ School holidays up 10% year-on-year
→ More visitors = more pressure on operations

The businesses I grew up around are drowning in admin, delivery, and "keeping up." AI won't fix everything, but it can buy back 10-15 hours a week for the owners who need it most.

I built an AI system that creates client-ready pitch decks from a 2-line brief.

Before: 4 templated decks with zero personalization. Looked like everyone else.

Now: 12 custom decks this month. Each one feels like we spent 3 days on it.

The workflow (tested by us):

Path 1: Google Stack

• Brief → Claude (narrative structure) → Google Slides → Manual brand/colour application (Claude Support) → "Beautify this slide" (Gemini) for visuals
• Best for: Speed, flexibility, most startups
• Reality: You still need to beautify each slide. Claude writes it, you style it.

Path 2: Microsoft Stack

• Brief → Copilot using Claude models (text only, Designer is terrible for this) → Canva or manual PowerPoint (If you absolutely need to)
• Best for: Enterprises locked into M365 with strict AU data residency
• Reality: Copilot Designer isn't there yet. Claude does the heavy lifting.

Note: Claude can be hosted in AWS cloud for AU data residency if needed. For technical teams there is a workflow with Figma.

The alternatives we tested:

• Kimi Slides: Great output, but Chinese-owned. Compliance risk for AU businesses.
• NotebookLM: Good for simple decks, not client pitches.
• ChatGPT: Still stuck in "generic template mode." Doesn't understand full narrative flow.

What's coming:
Higgsfield Vibe Motion will change this game. When it drops, the design layer automates. Until then, Claude + manual styling is the fastest path to deck that actually wins.

The time math:

• Before: 6 hours staring at blank page + 4 hours formatting = 10 hours
• Now: 2 hours total (Claude does narrative, you do final polish)

How we know this works:
We test every workflow in the Academy before recommending to our clients. When something better drops, we migrate the stack and tell you exactly what changed.

The systems we build are agnostic of the tools so you can adapt without breaking everything.

Most teams don’t have an “AI tools” problem.

They have a systems problem.

That’s what we dug into in today’s workshop. The difference between dabbling with a pile of shiny apps and actually building an AI engine that gives you an unfair advantage.

OpenAI’s stack is now in over a million businesses, but the leaders are using the advanced stuff roughly seven times more than everyone else, and they’re doing it inside real systems.

The shift is pretty simple on paper and brutal in practice: stop starting with the tool, start with the business problem and the outcome, then work backwards. Enabling the team to experiment and then share use cases up the chain.

Think in Lego blocks so you can swap models and vendors without tearing the whole thing down.

A basic engine is just three pieces anyway -> a shared knowledge base, clear custom instructions, and a prompt library your team actually reuses.

From there, the game is weaving AI into how your company runs: standardised workflows, integrations where it makes sense, and leadership that treats this as a moat.

The gap is already showing up in the numbers – AI “leaders” are pulling ahead on revenue growth and shareholder returns, not because they picked one magic app, but because they built a coherent engine around their work.

In this morning's workshop we tested slide generation across Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Kimi.

The all round winner? Claude's Cowork feature. Documents formatted 90% ready. 5 minutes vs 2-3 days of manual work.

The catch? Google Slides' "beautify this slide" feature (Gemini) is deceptively good for polish if you already have rough content.

The hybrid: Build the base in Claude Cowork, polish in Google Slides.
