The best automation projects rarely begin with technology.

They begin with questions about routine, architecture and behaviour. How someone likes to wake up. Whether they cook with low lighting or full brightness. Which rooms they naturally gather in at night. What should happen when they leave the house, return home or entertain.

From there, systems are designed around the rhythms of the people living within them — not the other way around.

For us, good home automation is less about adding complexity, and more about removing the small interruptions people have unconsciously learnt to live with.
