For more than six years, we have partnered with Chisholm Institute to imagine, design and evolve a platform that strengthens educator capability across Victoria’s TAFE sector.

What began in 2018 as a mobile and web app has grown into a scalable, institution-ready system that now supports more than 4,500 educators, with over 1,000+ new educators added each year.

Our most recent collaboration expanded Educator Passport with vocational competency mapping, single sign-on integration and improved reporting to support broader adoption and workforce planning.

At Wave, we value the creation of digital products that meet real-world complexity with thoughtful design, evidence-led decision making and technical rigour. Through co-design with educators, administrators and executives, we helped streamline compliance workflows, integrate with existing systems and ensure the product could scale across diverse institutional environments.

The platform is now used by Bendigo TAFE, Box Hill Institute, Kangan Institute, Melbourne Polytechnic, SuniTAFE, TAFE Gippsland, The Gordon, VETASSESS, Victoria University, and Swinburne University of Technology.

We’re proud to have partnered with Aeromedical Australia to design and build a digital platform that supports more effective air ambulance dispatch decisions — in real time, and at scale.

Built to meet the strategic challenges of air ambulance operations, the system enables:

1. Smarter triage for better patient outcomes
2. Reduced costs and carbon emissions through optimised aircraft use
3. Transparent decision-making across a scalable, integrated platform

Wave worked closely with the founder – a frontline pilot with deep system knowledge – to shape a product that delivers value across clinical, operational and financial levels.

Now in a research trial with a large government agency, the product is demonstrating its potential to help services extend reach, reduce risk, and make the best use of limited resources.

To celebrate a successful 2025 at Wave, we could not have lucked it any better to spend a super hot summer's day out in the bay, learning how to sail! ☀️⛵
Sandringham Yacht Club showed us the ropes and we had a blast tacking, jibing and taking turns on the tiller, doing a few competitive races. It was a steep learning curve, but it was such a fun new way to work together as a team. We're certainly an adventurous lot, and we feel lucky to be part of such a great group of people. Thanks team Wave and welcome back on deck! Let's see what exciting challenges 2026 brings ✨

2025 reminded us why we love building digital products. Across healthcare, education, research and social impact, we partnered with clients to bring big ideas to life – turning vision into solutions that make a tangible difference.

From Aeromedical Australia’s air ambulance dispatch system and Healthily’s GoShare AI health guidance, to S-Check moving from research into real-world use, Chisholm Institute’s Educator Passport app, and The Push-Up Challenge engaging communities internationally – every project reflects collaboration, persistence and bold vision.

They also shared a similar pattern: brave ideas, hard yards, follow-through, and a shared belief that building something well can genuinely improve lives. We’re proud of the role we played in helping these products come to life – and we’re excited for another year of collaborating, imagining, designing and creating.

We're proud of a recent collaboration on the redesign and development of S-Check – an app that helps people track and understand their use of methamphetamine and seek support for issues they may be experiencing.

Based on research and clinical practice, the S-Check App is led by a multidisciplinary team spanning the Stimulant Treatment Program at St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney, the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED), UNSW Sydney and the University of Newcastle, Sydney.

Twice a year, we bring our entire team together in Melbourne - to collaborate, celebrate and recognise all the hard work that goes into what we do every day. ✨

Our most recent gathering was full of energy and meaning. We kicked things off with some team building activities that reminded us of the value of play - even (especially!) as adults in the working world. The best part was that we were able to blend our play with philanthropy - we absolutely relished the challenge of building bikes for disadvantaged kids, which were then donated to the amazing local charity, HeartKids . A big thank you to the guys at Corporate Challenge Events for providing such a unique and fun experience for us, everyone loved it!

We also wrapped up our final day of The Push-Up Challenge! Over three weeks, our team pushed through more than 17,000 push-ups and other exercises (including bouldering!), and raised $650 in support of mental health services in Australia. It was our first time completing the challenge, and we're all a bit weary, but it was so great to see everyone persevere and support each other through til the end! 👏🏅

Our big day ended with a well-earned Brazilian BBQ feast at B'Churrasco - the most mouth-watering food, enjoyed with the best crew.

We’re proud of the tight-knit, passionate team we’ve built at Wave - a group of people who bring their A-game to everything we do, from building apps to building bikes. ❤️🚲

Exciting news! Our client, Healthily is partnering with Northern Queensland Primary Health Network to improve childhood vaccination rates through a voice AI campaign.

The campaign will be delivered via Healthily’s GoShare Voice platform. We recently collaborated with the team on building conversational voice AI into GoShare, enabling patients to interact with a ‘digital assistant’ in their preferred language.

The voice AI campaign will be available in five languages, making it easier for parents to stay up-to-date on their child’s vaccinations.

🎉 The Push-Up Challenge has kicked off, and we’re joining in the fun to help raise awareness and fundraise for mental health!

From 4-26 June, we'll be pushing for better mental health through each completing 3,214 push-ups – mixed in with alternative exercises! We’re also looking forward to learning daily facts about mental health through the app, which we’ve loved collaborating on with The Push-Up Challenge team over the last five years.

🧡 Once again, we’re so thrilled to collaborate with The Push-Up Challenge on their app to help raise awareness and fundraise for mental health! 🧡

It’s been an incredible five-year journey with The Push-Up Challenge, from designing and developing the first app version and iterating through the years – including expanding to Canada in 2024 and introducing new multilingual capability.

We can’t wait for The Push-Up Challenge to kick off in Australia next week, from 4-26 June. Hundreds of thousands of participants will be using the app to see their daily push-up targets, track progress, read daily mental health facts and fundraise. Watching the action unfold and communities coming together for an important cause is truly a highlight of our year.

This year, for the first time ever, Wave will be joining the Challenge to push for better mental health together and have some fun along the way.
