Building products offers many challenges and SmartB's SmartOdds came with the most blood, sweat, and tears of anything we’ve ever built. But it is also the crown jewel of the SmartB product line and proof that the hard builds are always the ones worth doing.

The Task:
SmartB wanted to build SmartOdds, an advanced odds comparison tool designed specifically for professional punters who need real-time, granular data to make sharper wagering decisions.

The Challenge:
Pro punters often juggle hundreds of tabs and bookies, missing price moves and best odds across horse, greyhound, and harness racing. They needed a tool to track fluctuations live, sort prices instantly, and get alerted without missing a beat.

The Process:
We built live fluctuation graphs showing real-time odds movements, helping punters spot sharp price drops or steamers early. We added filters to sort high-to-low across bookies, five fully customisable layouts (group races by type, favourite bookies, or strategy-specific setups), and expert tips for when even the data isn’t enough.

The Outcome:
SmartOdds gives punters a clear edge, combining runner, track, jockey stats, and forms with real-time alerts when a price crosses your set threshold or when your runner is about to jump. It’s also mobile-friendly, letting punters act fast, wherever they are.

Sydney Repair Centre came to us for a website refresh that would reflect their quality service and make it easier for customers to find what they need—from cracked screen repairs to full device diagnostics.

The problem? Their old site was stuck in the past, literally—showcasing outdated phone models, unclear navigation, and no clear customer pathways to their most popular services. Despite their strong foot traffic thanks to a prime store location, their digital presence was almost nonexistent, costing them valuable online leads.

We tackled the challenge by redesigning their website with streamlined user journeys, updated visuals, and mobile-first responsiveness. Clear service pages, contact CTAs, and a structure built for SEO now give the site a strong foundation for growth.

For the second iteration of the Puppi Lovers app, we were brought in to audit and optimise the user sign-up experience — a crucial part of any matchmaking platform.

A UX audit revealed several friction points in the onboarding process: inconsistent typography, too much non-essential information being collected, and mismatched visuals that left users feeling overwhelmed before they’d even made it to the fun part — meeting matches.

Our goal was clear: streamline sign-up while collecting only the data necessary to power meaningful matches. We reduced the number of steps, simplified the language, and removed screens that didn’t directly support user outcomes.

At the same time, a UI audit highlighted visual inconsistencies that were impacting clarity and confidence. Buttons, fonts, and colour usage varied between screens, making the experience feel unpolished and mentally taxing for new users.

To fix that, we developed a clean, cohesive new style sheet — applying purposeful colour use, strong typographic hierarchy, and unified visual elements across the app. This not only made the interface easier to use but also helped guide decision-making with less effort, ultimately improving profile completion rates.

Each year, we partner with St Francis Xavier to create a meaningful, beautifully designed yearbook for their graduating Year 6 class — a keepsake that captures the spirit and memories of their primary school journey.

The task isn’t just design — it’s full project support. We help shape the content structure to fit an 80-page limit, curate images, design section openers, and build playful collages that reflect the heart of school life: from excursions and sports days to school musicals and shows.

In 2024, we added something extra special — student voice. For the first time, students were invited to design their own personal pages using Canva. We then wove these self-designed spreads into the final professionally typeset InDesign project, blending individuality with polished production.

The result was a joyful, collaborative edition — part scrapbook, part storybook — and a tangible reminder of a formative year.

isabled Care came to us at the very beginning of their journey — ready to support their community but needing a visual identity to reflect their values and vision.

The task was to create a meaningful logo and brand colour palette that could grow with them, from website to workwear. But more than just aesthetics, they wanted their identity to express compassion, safety, and inclusiveness.

We designed a logomark that brings those ideas to life: a heart, symbolising care and compassion, shaped into a supporting hand — with a small dot suggesting both a person and a subtle nod to the ‘i’ in “isabled.” The flowing, concentric lines echo the meeting place motifs found in Indigenous art, anchoring the brand in connection and respect.

The result is a distinctive, flexible mark that not only represents what isabled Care stands for, but looks striking on shirts, hoodies, and everywhere their team shows up in the community.

The goal was twofold — document the atmosphere of the event while showcasing the people and spirit behind the Khalil Lawyers brand. With a mix of live event photography and videography, we were tasked with capturing not just the action, but the connections being made.

The challenge was working in a fast-paced environment with a shifting crowd and dynamic lighting — all while keeping the focus on genuine moments, candid interactions, and the energy of the game-day backdrop.

To kick off the new NRL season with impact, SmartB brought us on board to design bold, high~impact advertising collateral for their launch their SmartPlay and SmartTipping campaigns.

The brief was clear: drive excitement around the $10,000 tipping competition and promote SmartPlay — their daily fantasy sports app — using brand ambassador and league legend, Mitchell Pearce.

The challenge was to create visuals that grabbed attention in busy event spaces while clearly communicating two separate products, each with its own offer and identity. Using dynamic player imagery, punchy headlines, and tight brand alignment, we delivered print-ready banner stands that did the heavy lifting — drawing people in, sparking conversations, and reinforcing brand presence at key fan touchpoints.

The end result? A unified set of visuals that not only looked sharp but did their job — building hype, increasing sign-ups, and getting fans talking from the first whistle of the season.

The challenge was to deliver dynamic, professional event photography that showcased not only the energy of the room but also the key moments with star players, special guests, and speakers.

SmartPlay came to us with a clear mission: they wanted to build a daily fantasy sports app from the ground up—one that would stand apart in a market crowded with long-haul, high-commitment platforms.

The problem? Traditional fantasy games are time-consuming and often overwhelming. SmartPlay needed something fast, fun, and flexible—designed for users who want instant gratification, not a season-long slog.

We brought their vision to life through end-to-end product design, app development, and a targeted digital marketing strategy. The experience was built around short-form gameplay, gamification elements, and a seamless UX that made it just as easy to play one game as it was to come back for more.
