TautSec

TautSec Reduce your risk and improve your cyber security posture in one location. At TautSec, we make cyber risk management simple, scalable, and effective.

Make informed decisions based on world-leading risk management and cyber security compliance frameworks. Our mission is to help businesses of all sizes, especially SMEs, protect themselves against cyber threats while meeting growing compliance demands. Cybercrime is increasing in frequency and complexity, and most businesses don’t have the time, expertise, or resources to stay ahead. Traditional a

pproaches rely on expensive consultants, lengthy audits, and complex frameworks that overwhelm teams rather than empower them. We believe there is a better way. TautSec brings cyber insurance and cyber certification together in one unified platform, combining automated risk insights with built-in financial protection. This allows businesses to prove they are secure and stay protected if an incident occurs. Our solution offers two clear pathways:

Insurance-led entry for businesses seeking fast, credible cyber cover, distributed through brokers, MGAs, and digital quote tools. Each policy includes Certify Essentials, a built-in starter framework to meet minimum cyber assurance requirements. Certification-led entry for organisations driven by compliance needs such as regulated industries, supply chain obligations, or government programs. Businesses can start with a structured certification plan and later add cyber insurance for full coverage. For larger organisations, TautSec provides tools to manage cyber risk across complex vendor networks and supply chains, helping them reduce exposure from smaller third-party providers. Our partnership with Chubb Insurance Australia Limited ensures clients receive trusted cyber insurance backed by one of the world’s leading insurers. Combined with our SaaS platform, this creates a seamless experience for both protection and compliance. Whether you are a small business owner, compliance officer, broker, or managed service provider, TautSec provides a clear, accessible path to cyber resilience and the confidence to operate, grow, and recover quickly when needed.

Stand 6 is ready for GP Refresh Melbourne this weekend.

Why general practice? Health service providers reported 225 data breaches in Australia last year, more than any other sector. Patient records, Medicare numbers, clinical notes. Attackers know exactly what they're worth.

Bring your practice domain and we'll run a free external scan while you watch. About 60 seconds, and you see your practice the way an attacker does.

How long does it take to see your business the way a hacker sees it? About ten seconds.

TautSec was at SmallBiz Week Melbourne last week proving exactly that: on the cyber panel, at the TautSec booth, and in a lot of honest conversations with owners about what small businesses are really up against.

The theme that kept coming up: you don't need an enterprise budget to be dramatically safer. The 5 absolute basics are:
1. MFA on everything.
2. A password manager doing the remembering for you.
3. Backups you've actually tested.
4. Updates on the day they arrive.
5. And a printed one-pager of who to call when something goes wrong.

While you're here, run your free scan at scan.tautsec.com now.
No signup, no install, takes about ten seconds.

PS: Thanks to Lucy Lin for being MC on the panel and Uknowwho for the interview video.

What a weekend at GP Refresh 2026 in Sydney!

TautSec had the opportunity to exhibit and speak with GPs, practice owners and healthcare businesses about a topic that is moving quickly from “IT issue” to boardroom and practice-management priority: cyber risk.

Recent cyber and privacy headlines have made the challenge clear.

Healthcare businesses hold some of the most sensitive personal information in Australia, and practices are being asked to manage more digital systems, more third-party providers and more patient expectations than ever before.

Across the weekend, our team helped practices:
🔹 Run a cyber security scan
🔹 Understand website, email and cyber risk gaps
🔹 Identify practical next steps
🔹 Explore cyber insurance options for Australian businesses

One of the best parts was seeing practice owners and managers get visibility over risks that are often left to “the IT person”. In just a few minutes, they could see where their practice stood and what action they could take next.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the TautSec stand, scanned their practice, asked questions and took cyber security seriously as part of running a modern healthcare business.

Congratulations to the GP Refresh team on a fantastic event. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversations from here.

If you missed us at the stand and would like a scan of your practice, feel free to reach out.

The best way to understand a security platform is to use one. So we made sure you can, before you ever create an account.

Part of our journey to make cyber security simpler is making sure you can understand a product before you ever sign up for it.

How often do you actually click around a company's website before you buy? Most people don't. They scroll, skim a few screenshots, and move on. The trouble is that a screenshot of a dashboard tells you very little about what it is actually like to use.

So when we built the TautSec website, we decided not to fill it with static images and hope visitors imagined the rest. We aim to make every section interactive instead.

The dashboards are not pictures. They respond. Run a scan and watch the score update. Tap a row in the risk register and it expands. Reset the supply chain map and watch it redraw. Generate a new insurance policy and the figures change in real time.

We did this for two reasons.

First, it makes the product genuinely easier to understand. Cyber security is abstract until you can see it move. A static dashboard is a claim. A working one is proof.

Second, the moment someone interacts with the page, they have stopped reading a pitch and started using the product. They are part of the way through onboarding before they have signed up for anything.

It is more work than simply exporting a set of images, and most visitors will never consciously notice the difference. But that is rather the point. The site should let you experience what TautSec is like before you commit to anything.

Part of our journey to offer better cyber security prevention and protection is making every detail work, even in the dark.

Who here uses dark mode instead of light mode for everything now?

Some of us at TautSec prefer dark mode. Some of us don’t.

When we built the new TautSec website, we could have designed for light mode and left it there. But modern browsers can detect whether a visitor prefers a light or dark interface and a site still needs to be designed properly for both.

Otherwise, the experience can quickly feel inconsistent: colours clash, forms look out of place, and images designed for a light background suddenly feel wrong.

So we built TautSec to handle both modes properly from day one, rather than bolting dark mode on later.

The part we are happiest with is the imagery.

CSS can handle colours relatively easily. Raster images are harder. A screenshot or illustration made for a light background can look completely out of place the second you switch to dark mode.

We have been using AI to create a dark-mode twin of each image, with instructions such as:

“Make this suitable for dark mode. Do not move anything relative to the image. It must remain pixel perfect.”

We then review the results and use a cross-fade transition when the theme changes, rather than abruptly swapping the images.

Most visitors will probably never stop to think about it. That is the point.

The website should simply match their preferences without giving them retina-burn when the page loads.

Have a play at tautsec.com. Use the light/dark mode switch in the top-right corner, or watch the video above.

While you are there, you can also run a free scan to see how vulnerable your website may be to a cyber attack.
