Many people think a slow or overheating computer means expensive parts are failing. Quite often, it’s something much simpler.
Over time, the thermal paste between the CPU and its heatsink dries out and loses its ability to transfer heat properly. The same can happen with the GPU thermal paste in gaming PCs. When this happens, temperatures rise, and the CPU or GPU begins thermal throttling to protect itself.
That means the system quietly reduces its performance, so you are not actually getting the full power you paid for. Long-term heat can also shorten the life of the components.
A simple internal clean and thermal paste refresh can often bring temperatures back down and restore proper performance.
Have you ever checked the temperatures of your CPU or GPU while gaming or using demanding software?
