Cisco just increased server memory prices by up to 92%. Here's what that means for your next quote.
We monitor distributor pricing feeds in real time. This morning at 6:47am, 1,822 price changes hit across Cisco's server hardware catalogue, DDR5 memory, SAS hard drives, NICs, and video conferencing gear.
The increases range from 50% to 92%.
If you have a pending Cisco server quote from last week, it's already wrong.
What's affected:
DDR5 ECC server memory, up ~92%
SAS HDDs, significant increases across the range
Video conferencing endpoints, up across the board
Network interface cards, repriced overnight
What you should do:
Re-quote any open Cisco server or UC proposals immediately
If you're mid-project on a server refresh, lock in pricing with your distributor today
Review any fixed-price managed services agreements that include hardware provisioning, your margins just changed.
This is why we built automated price monitoring into our procurement workflow. When 1,800+ SKUs reprice overnight, you can't rely on checking a portal once a week.
For our managed clients, we've already flagged affected quotes and adjusted recommendations where needed.
If you're planning a server refresh or UC rollout and want to understand the real cost impact, reach out. We'll run the numbers with you.
