With the wildly successful launch of FoodMe this week, I thought now is as good a time as any to showcase the work I did for the brand late last year.

I worked with Rob Mills throughout the development of the product on pitches, look and feel and early (early!) product mocks; and then got in deep with founder Rob Campbell to create a distinctive look and feel across all marketing touch points for the brand, alongside some strong creative headlines and brand positioning.

If you're after gluten-free or dietary requirement friendly foods, delivered direct to your door, jump on board what I'm sure is going to be the next big thing in grocery.

We worked with Smarter Drafter by Tensis extensively to craft an implementation guide for their growing marketing team, bringing together brand, product and presence. These guides are becoming a signature EM Design + Marketing piece, demonstrating how companies can go to market with their brand and create consistency across every customer and employee touchpoint.

More than a set of brand guidelines, this implementation guide involved redesigning and reimagining a number of key materials across their brand, including their social media presence, email marketing and physical materials. It includes a number of rules and guidelines for producing new materials and creates a cohesive approach for the entire Smarter Drafter brand, from product to tradeshow stands, that was previously missing.

I loved working with the team at Ivy Opal across all parts of their brand - from persona's and positioning, to packaging and website design.

The design aesthetic is clean and simple, inspired by nature and the (highly) competitive skincare world. It's a beautiful product that is now being stocked nationally and internationally, which is always a huge compliment.

I also loved being able to work with some of my favourite professional contacts - Belinda Owen on website design, and Melissa Walker Horn on lifestyle photography.

Each year we are challenged by the team at St Patrick’s College for Girls in Campbelltown to create a new and innovative design for their annual Yearbook. 7 years of Turas design means we are perpetually presented with the question of how to make this year feel completely different to last?

This year, we brought in elements found in their new statue, “Spirit Girl”, who was blessed at their 2022 St Patrick’s Day Eucharist Celebration. The Gum Leaf motif throughout the yearbook is inspired by the gum leaves running down her back as sculpted by Karen Alexander.

I would especially like to mention Lisa Hall, who helped immensely in managing stages of this project during my maternity leave break.

This work though is the kind I love.
I was recently asked to come in and craft an implementation guide for Inquisitive's growing international marketing team, bringing together brand, product and presence.

More than a set of brand guidelines, this implementation guide involved redesigning and reimagining a number of key materials across their brand, including their social media presence, email marketing and physical materials.

It includes a number of rules and guidelines for producing new materials and creates a cohesive approach for the entire Inquisitive brand, from product to tradeshow stands, that was previously missing.

What often gets misunderstood in a website project is that it's never just the visuals that need changing. It's the messaging, the functionality, the positioning and probably the visuals too.

I worked with the team at Bowerbird Jewels to completely overhaul their website. In this instance, that included a complete rewrite of their mission and values, including new shoppable look-book capabilities in the site, photo shoots to better embody the range and an overhaul of the look and feel.

I love big meaty projects like this one, where I can really add value for a client across a number of key areas of their brand, not a single project. If you've got a project like that coming up in your business, let's chat!

The second half of last year was a period of huge output as I prepared myself and my clients for 6 months of maternity leave. I and a number of key production partners completed a huge amount of work, including delivering 4 new websites, a packaging suite of over 20 products and a completely new brand.

Now is as good a time as any to talk through some of those projects, including this rebuilt and redeveloped website for Hair by Phd - the second website I have created for them during our more than 10 year working relationship.
