Don't miss out on business because of poorly-planned CTAs.
CTAs are one of the most important features of a great website. Keep these principles in mind for your own website to drive more conversions!

✅ Make it stand out
↳ Use contrasting colors and bold fonts to make the CTA stand out from the rest of the content.
↳ Position the CTA in a prominent location on the page; the hero section, at the end of content, or in the navigation bar. Don’t use it excessively though - effective doesn’t mean in your face.
↳ Use clear language that tells the visitor exactly what action to take, such as "Sign Up Now" or "Get Started Today."

✅ Create a sense of urgency
↳ If applicable, use words and phrases that create a sense of urgency, such as "Limited Time Offer," "Act Now," or "Only a Few Spots Left."

✅ Be clear and concise
↳ Keep the CTA text short and to the point. Aim for a few words that convey the action clearly, like "Download Now" or "Learn More."
↳ Limit the number of words and avoid unnecessary details. Ensure the core message is immediately understood.
↳ Use strong verbs and active language that drive the visitor to take action, such as "Join," "Get," "Start," or "Claim."

By following these tips, you can create CTAs that are visually appealing, easy to understand, and more likely to convert visitors into customers or leads.

This is the problem our friends at teeth whitening studio SmileNova had. They were getting over 1000 clicks per month on their Google Business listing, but almost no conversions.

Website performance gets talked about a lot, and for good reason—the longer a website takes to load, the less likely a visitor is to stick around.

At Pancake Web Studio, we prioritize speed and test the performance of a website throughout development. At a bare minimum, the essentials are:

→ Keep image sizes as small as possible, and convert them to WebP.
→ Use animations thoughtfully—especially above the fold.

But is a high performance score the be-all and end-all? Not really. Heck, Youtube only has a performance score of 42 out of 100, but they're hardly going to lose customers any time soon!
