I had the pleasure of illustrating all the Canning Show staff's profile cartoons plus some extra carnival characters during the last 3 years. A Merry Xmas to you all 🎅🎄🎁

HUGE THANKS to everyone for enjoying, participating, volunteering, or helping in what's been a fun-tastic 2023 for our not-for-profit organisation, CAHRS, including highlights:
🎉 Launching 3 big new venues (ready to hire)
🎉 Approx 450 events running at CECS
🎉 A record-breaking Canning Show, with nearly 20,000 smiles
🎉 Welcoming a new Booking Admin & Events Support Officer
🎉 Laying the groundwork for exciting new events, expansions, programs, and another venue to launch

Whilst most of our events go on hold for a few weeks, don't forget Cannington Bingo continues running, plus don't miss Vintage Services' famous New Year's Day Collectors Fair

After walking through Perth's Piccadilly Arcade and being inspired by their gorgeous art deco construction shop wall signages, I went back to polish up an old artwork of mine that was very similar 🍸🍸🍸

This vector art is for a construction wall signage to advertise the "Elizabeth Quay Bar" coming soon. Swipe through to see some of the Piccadilly Arcade art deco signage designs that inspired the artwork revitalisation. Also attached is a photo of "Spanda" at day and night – the art sculpture featured in the artwork which you can also find at Elizabeth Quay!

p.s) You may be able to just see a golden swan sculpture lit up next to Spanda, taken at the 2021 Christmas Light Trail ⭐ 🦢 ⭐

What a proud and wonderful night to see the community of Canning and beyond come together to celebrate the achievements and talents of our people! 🏆 ⭐ It was also a joy to bring back the Canning Show brand characters and cartoon assets back in a last hoorah to decorate the award presentation screen slides that I helped with. The first pic on the presentation screen shows the main marketing artwork used to promote this year’s Canning Show on social media and printed materials like booklets, flyers and posters.

And finally, the 2021 Canning Show comes to a beautiful end with the Exhibition Award night to celebrate the winners and talents of each exhibiting category! 🏆🏆🏆 The Canning Show sheeps would like to give a big congratulations to our amazing diverse community of people young and old with special talents and passions ⭐ slide over to see the Canning Show exhibition categories.

Hooray for 1st prize in the Canning Show for the "Digital Art - Still Life Fruit & Vegetables" section! 🏆🥇 How cool to see it displayed in the Cannington Exhibition Hall amongst other amazing entries. The Canning Show sheeps can't stop eating I mean raving over my realistic corn drawing 🐑 🌽🌽🌽🐑

Thought I would have some fun and give a crack at entering the Digital Art exhibition section for Fruit and Vegetable Still Life at the Canning Show this year! 🎨 🖥

Here is a digital touchup, rearrangement and colour enhancement of my previous corn drawings. These corns are set up on a red tablecloth overlooking a background of corn fields, blue skies and fluffy clouds 🌽🌽🌽🌄 swipe over for the original pencil drawings with no filter.

Even on a gloomy day, the Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds wall radiates colours like a rainbow 🌈 This kid is passing by CECS to catch up with friends at Westfield Carousel and couldn't help but take a selfie with the multicoloured CECS wall! 📸

P.s) Gee, wonder who has photobombed him... 🤔 🐑

My next character design is proud Muslim mum visiting the CAHRS Administration centre with her little boy! 🧕🏽🧒🏽 They are going in to sign up for a membership to the Canning Agricultural, Horticultural and Recreational Society (CAHRS).

You can enjoy being a member too for many benefits including:

Introducing the character design of Grandpa and his rescue sheep for the Canning Show

Grandpa has just visited the Canning Community Men's Shed and is passing by the Cannington Showgrounds with his pet sheep. You can expect to see and pet some woolly sheeps at the show here in November! 🐑 🐑 🐑
