Recently, our founding director Greg Markowski, had the amazing opportunity to briefly share the stage with the likes of Andrew McQualter (head coach of West Coast Eagles), Brittany Melrose (Head of Running Sports Marketing at New Balance) and the legendary Jeremy McGovern (needs no introduction) as Epic IT and Greg were welcomed into the West Coast Connect program as part of the member spotlight sessions.

"The Sport of Brand Connection" event educated the largest West Coast Connect audience to date, in the science of brand connection while Mini gave us a little insight into the West Coast Eagles identity being developed in the off season. Topped off with an insightful Q&A featuring the Gov and Brittany.

Special shout out to fellow gold member presenters Nathan Keehan (from Seven Patterns and tough act to follow 😉) along with Rocky Collins (from Ceda College), for introducing their respective organisations.

Last Saturday, our Founding Director Greg was presenting three awards at The WHS Awards 2025 Gala Event, held at the Crown Perth, recognising and celebrating an amazing group of companies along with their achievements in improving the work, health and safety of so many people. This year, Epic IT was helping award the categories of Technology, Engineering and Automation under the Innovation & Technology award.

Congratulations to Curtin University (Technology), Toll group (Engineering) and The Perth Mint (Automation) for taking out each of their respective categories for the Innovation & Tech award!

Special thanks to Michael Morgan and his hard-working team for putting together another fantastic event that Epic IT have now supported for the past 5 years.

Today our founding director Greg Markowski wrapped up Diggers And Dealers Kalgoorlie in Kalgoorlie for 2025 and was fortunate to have met and spoken tech to so many leaders in this fascinating industry. From the small cap to large cap players, these guys are digging up the resources today that are disrupting and evolving their backyards tomorrow. Whether it is digging up and separating complex rare earths for robotics or mining copper to electrify the world and artificial intelligence .. downstream, all these precious minerals amd metals will ultimately feed back into this industry to optimise mining operations, and also improvement the economics of mining lower grade opportunities.

Technology has played a massive role in dropping AISC (All-in sustaining costs) for the entire mining industry from early 1900's and will continue to do so now on a much larger scale. Imagine an automous "dark mine" that no longer requires humans which means a different approach to risk / safety, air ventilation, visibility, process.. the list goes on. How will this impact the economics? How will it impact commodity pricing? Fascinating time we live in. Until next time Kalgoorlie 👍

Last Sunday, nine inspired team members (minus one, who actually organised the day for us - thank you Nikki 😥) from Epic IT participated in the HBF Run For A Reason.

An event where each year, thousands of participants choose a charity and fundraising goal to run, walk, or wheel towards. Powered by kindness, HBF is proud to put on an event that allows West Aussies, to raise vital funds for important charities close to their heart.

The morning saw our team motor through various events including the 4KM walk, 12KM run and even the all mighty half marathon of 21KM!!!!

Most of all we enjoyed some quality time together, in amazing weather taking in the most scenic sites Perth has to offer. All while supporting a fantastic cause that is the HBF Run For A Reason.
.. and we even managed to surprise ourselves with our amazing efforts and results! 👊🏃🏆🥴
