| keepin’ it fresh |
These days, your website can often be your customer’s first impression of you - so you want it to be a good one! But it’s not enough to create a good website and then let it sit around gathering virtual dust forever - you’ve got to keep that site fresh! So when is it time to update your company’s website?
🌟 Your content is either old or irrelevant: Your website should be a reliable source of all of your essential information, which must be kept current and consistent across all of your marketing platforms. (Think: updating products/services, deleting broken links, updating employee information, etc. etc.)
🌟 You’re looking to boost your SEO: The fresher the content, the higher the potential ranking. And that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to think of entirely new material to add, just breathe some new life into that old stuff! (Think: adding better links, revisiting your keyword focus, or even fixing grammar and spelling mistakes.)
🌟 You want to show off your hard work: And so you should! Not only does this keep customers aware of what you’ve been up to, but it gives potential customers the opportunity to see just how great your work is 💁♀️ (Think: featuring your latest projects, displaying awards and achievements, or highlighting your best customer reviews.)
🌟 You don’t have a website or your website isn't mobile responsive (annoying!): Nothing screams a need for web work more than the lack of a website altogether! A website is crucial to your company’s success, and this includes making it mobile-friendly 📲 Whether we like it or not, our phones are becoming an extension of our hands, so a mobile-friendly design should be an extension of your website!
Happy updating!
