Have had a couple of clients recently with a hijacker virus on their computers which would show fake banking websites instead of the real site. Luckily they were both a bit suspicious and got in touch with me before it became a big problem. These fake sites look almost exactly the same as the real site, the URL in the address looks correct and everthing. Pics are below with the real site on the left and the fake site on the right. There are usually some ways to tell if you're at a fake site. The fake sites generally take a little longer to load. They usually go straight to the sign in page instead of the banks home page. The links off the page will not lead to the actual pages and if there are phone numbers on the page they will generally be wrong. In the example below the ABN is wrong on the fake commbank site also. If you've already visited a fake page and the 2nd time you go there it will probably throw back a 'page can not be found'.
Normally the advice is not to Google search for your banking site but actually type in the URL for the bank but even that is not a guarantee of getting to the genuine site if you're infected.
If you think you've tried logging in on one of these fake sites before then you really should change your password right away from another clean computer or device.
Then you will need to clear the virus off your computer. I found all my usual security programs like Trend, Superantispyware, Malwarebytes and ADW cleaner were not enough to remove it but one called SpyHunter was able to clear it off. They do offer a free version if you want to wait 48hrs, or you can get a free trial though it does require credit card and you can then cancel if required.

Be careful of fake covid SMSes or emails. Here is an example of one that leads to a very genuine looking site but then will ask for your credit card info for the 'free test kits'.
This particular website only popped up yesterday so it's very new but also very authentic looking but don't be fooled!
Share this to help others not be fooled also!
I've contacted the domain registrar to get them to look into it but who knows how long that could take.
