2:1 Balun Revisited; Version 1 Above Version 2 Below, Version 2 Has shown better results on the Lower Frequencies than Version 1, return loss on 14.1Mhz of 18.2Db, by using the Enameled Copper Wire over stranded plastic sheath, in saying that if you just wanted to operate on 40-30m the Plastic sheath is acceptable…and it’s probably good for 600w CW..

One of the Dirtiest Motorolas I’ve ever seen, this thing must’ve come from a Truck stop workshop in the US, needed a full strip case clean, PCB clean as best as could be done, reassembled and aligned as best could be done with crystals that have drifted considerably, still it receives as a 555 should with a healthy 22watts SSB peak..
