We are pleased to report that today Plotlogic deployed another OreSense® system. Destined for an iron ore mine in South Australia, the system will scan assay samples and provide real-time mineral classification data that will improve geology modelling, mine scheduling and knowledge of materials fed to the mill.

We are pleased to welcome a new addition to our team! This ruggedised autonomous mobile robot carrying a Plotlogic OreSense® is an important part of our product development roadmap. We will deploy this configuration to assay blast hole samples in real-time on the mine bench. Head of Product, Justin Young comments, “Our R&D team is busy working on our new platform. Ore body knowledge plays a key role in efficient mining, yet most data collection is still performed manually exposing staff to hazardous working conditions. The combination of autonomous movement and automated geological mapping allows higher fidelity and higher frequency data capture with reduced cost and exposure hours. We are extremely proud of our team members Kathryn Job, Grant Phillips and Craig Smith who participated in the Great Cycle Challenge organised by the Children’s Medical Research Institute. The team rode a total 1,745km and raised $2,501 toward helping fight kids’ cancer. Plotlogic's hyperspectral technology captures information on mineral content and moisture levels pixel by pixel. This enables our platform to automatically determine and map clay bands, mineralisation and ore/waste boundaries in high resolution, with the information generated being used to improve short term planning and ore recovery. In this example, clay boundaries are automatically determined from scans taken by OreSense® and can be exported to geological modelling tools such as Vulcan or Leapfrog Geo.
