A small software company based in Shellharbour is seeking someone to be part of our application and support team on a part time basis (between 20 and 30 hours per week).

Your role will involve…

* Developing solutions in our Product (training provided)
* Developing solutions in Python
* Providing Application & Technical Support
* Software Testing & Validation
* Maintaining and Updating Documentation

Required skills include…


* Good knowledge of Python. Any exposure to Pandas and MatPlotLib would be a substantial plus.
* Good general computer/office skills (Word, Excel etc.)
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* The ability to work independently
* Confidence to ask questions of customers and management when needed.

Optional skills - these are not required, but will lead to additional hours.


* Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
* 3D Modelling (Blender, ideally)
* PHP programming
* C # programming
* Unity 3D

Promising applicants will be given a small test of their Python skills before the interview round. This test should not take a significant amount of time to complete.

Part-time students are welcome to apply. Previous commercial experience is not required, but may be an advantage. Hourly rate will depend on amount experience and the quality of the candidate.

This is an on-site role. While some remote work may be negotiated, you will need to be in our offices regularly.

The ARDI Query Language is well on its way - a powerful, stack-based query language you can use to integrate ARDI data into other applications, such as reporting and machine-learning.

AQL doesn't replace our existing API, but it allows you to request almost any type of data from ARDI in a single query - meaning that read-only integration is faster, easier and more efficient than ever before.

From The Lab: We've always wanted to use the ARDI API to power machine learning applications.

Now it's happening - the new "Features" API for scikit-learn is in development, allowing users to create multi-dimensional Support Vector Machines to monitor asset status. And it's done in a half-dozen lines of Python code!

In The Pipeline: We've been playing with audio in the current development build of the ARDI-VE client.

You can announce events with text-to-speech, play notifications or plant sounds from recordings, and even stream live audio from microphones on-site!

This means that in a not-too-distant version of ARDI-VE, you'll be able to 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧 your data as well as see it.
