THIS NEW VERSION of Google Analytics 4 DIFFERS FROM WHAT WE WERE USED TO with Universal Google Analytics.

It differs on all possible levels.

Everything has changed on the data model, reporting features, the interface, account structure. The tools and interface are still under heavy development.

It is not as easy to use as we are used to. The new features are constantly realised so you have to keep learning. It is not perfect yet.

Some things are little counter intuitive. Yet it is one of the most important tool for any business.

I am always surprised how little small business owners or even medium businesses know about importance of the data in decision making process.

For retail business it is the must however any business who use marketing on line for services, products - needs to have some tools to understand the customer journey and improve marketing ROI if they use websites and invest in PPC or/and SEO.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, as the saying goes, and neither are great search engine results rankings.

The reality is that SEO is not the work of a moment, and anyone who promises quick results is not telling you the realities. The trick is to get as many as possible results on the front page initially (long tail keywords) to get more traffic. In time the best results will show up with a huge volume of searchers per month. See some graphs from one of my clients below.

Yes, page speed play role in SEO and ranking. However, the intent of the search query is still a very strong signal. Because of this, slower pages may still rank highly if it has great and relevant content.

Page speed is a direct ranking factor, a fact known even better since Google's Algorithm Speed Update.

Considering E-A-T for your Content Strategy

E-A-T- stands for expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness.
The concept comes from Google's Search Quality Rater. While not a confirmed ranking factor, studies have shown that websites that make updates based on E-A-T guidelines can, over time, improve rankings over their competitors.

According to Google’s Gary Illyes, Google does not have a single score for E-A-T. It is not an individual ranking factor but is instead made up of many algorithms that determine page usefulness, correctness and relevancy in Google’s core algorithm.

I can definitely say that E-A-T is working well for my clients when selecting good content.

Someone asked on one of the forums for SEO professionals a question about how to hire SEO professionals. One of my friends anwser. That is the best anwser ever!

I have to agree. Here is a great advice he gave!

"Do not hire anyone that doesn't track and hold themselves accountable to organic conversions-the metric that can be directly attributed to sales/leads (what you care about most, I assume).

Most SEOs try to impress you with metrics like impressions, traffic, or total ranking keywords. But that doesn't mean you're actually getting leads."

and yes business needs to rank for keywords that generate the right traffic first. That task takes a long time. However for new businesses - online, there are ways to assure leads by doing local SEO.....and understanding the audience and great keywords research as well as spending time analysing data!!!!!!!!!!
