Malvolio is a humans-first studio. We believe design and creativity belong to humanity, and want to protect the dignity of all human creators. We do not use generative AI for any of our work; nor include any images, code or content in our work that wasn't created purely by humans.

We oppose the scraping and repurposing of human-created design, photography, art and content for training purposes or otherwise by generative AI models without permission, credit or pay. Such industrial scale theft by big tech (merely to the benefit of the billionaire class) poses an existential threat to the value and livelihood of human creatives, worldwide.

As humans, we bring our own unique experiences and knowledge to the table. If you want art, culture and design now and into the future – engage with fellow humans, not a form of technology that is undermining creative industries.

In partnership with Bunurong Land Council, Parks Victoria worked on upgrading existing beach-nesting-bird signage within the Mornington Peninsula National Park (Cape Schanck) and Point Nepean National Park (Portsea). We designed five new signs to fit existing material sizes, while adhering to Parks Victoria brand and signage guidelines. Each sign highlights the local fauna biodiversity, and the cultural significance of the landscape.

The Bays is a community owned healthcare organisation on the Mornington Peninsula, providing acute hospital and residential aged care services, where their patients are at the heart of everything they do. We recently designed their 2024-25 annual report with infographics, highlighted quotes and easy-to-understand graphs.

The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council’s Community Facilities Infrastructure Strategy brings together research, best practice and local knowledge to provide a framework to create, support and maintain a network of community facilities across the Mornington Peninsula that effectively and equitably meet the community needs now and into the future.

We designed the strategy into an easy-to-read report, with lots of white space, photograph pages, simple infographics and maps. While there is a lot of information in this report, it was deliberately set to have minimal content per page to make the report feel welcoming and accessible to all members of the community.

Pantone's 2026 colour of the year is...white. "Cloud Dancer" to be specific. It's a lovely, calming and peaceful shade but any shade of white is not what I'd normally consider a feature colour. What are your thoughts? Is there a colour you thought was in the running this year?
