AI is moving faster than most governance frameworks can keep up with.

Faster Than the Guardrails is where we slow that gap down.

You'll leave with a framework you can actually use, real case studies of what's gone wrong elsewhere, and direct access to Kenny Singh (CTO, Microsoft) and Richard Welch MP to ask the questions you actually have.

If "are we moving too fast on AI" is a question your leadership team hasn't properly answered yet, this is where you get that answer.

"We've moved to the cloud" isn't a strategy. It's a starting point.

Lifting everything into the cloud without a plan often just relocates your old problems, and adds a monthly bill. The value isn't in the cloud itself. It's in what you design it to do: flexibility, resilience, the ability to work from anywhere securely.

Cloud is a tool. The strategy is what you build with it.

Did your cloud move solve a problem, or just move it?

Two speakers worth clearing your calendar for.

Kenny Singh, CTO at Microsoft, on what's actually driving AI adoption inside businesses right now, and what separates the ones getting real value from the ones still experimenting.

Richard Welch MP, Shadow Minister for Industry, Innovation, AI and Digital Economy, on where regulation is heading while adoption keeps moving.

Plus a live panel, so you can ask what you actually want to know.

For business leaders and ops teams navigating the AI rollout, not the developers building it.

16 September, Microsoft Southbank. Lunch included. Places are limited.

Good technology has one quiet job: keep the business running.

Continuity isn't glamorous. Nobody celebrates the systems that didn't go down. But the moment they do, you understand exactly what they were worth.

Keeping your team working through disruption, that's the real measure of whether your technology is doing its job.

Resilience isn't an upgrade. It's the foundation.

If you've never pressure-tested whether your business could keep running, that's a conversation worth having.

Most businesses we talk to have the same problem right now.

Staff are already using AI tools at work, approved or not, and the policies meant to manage that are still being written.
We're getting a room together to talk about it properly.

Along with Humanise AI, we are hosting Faster Than the Guardrails at Microsoft's Southbank office on Wednesday 16 September, 12.00pm - 2:30pm.

Lunch is included and it's a genuinely practical session, not another AI hype panel.

We've got Kenny Singh, CTO at Microsoft, talking about what he's actually seeing inside businesses right now - where the productivity gains are real and where they're not.

Richard Welch MP, Shadow Minister for Industry, Manufacturing, Innovation, AI and Digital Economy, will cover where regulation's heading while everyone's already mid-rollout.

Then a panel where you can ask the questions that are actually keeping you up at night.

If you're a business leader, IT decision maker or ops manager trying to get the governance and change management side sorted before your team's gone and adopted AI on their own, this is for you.

Spots are limited.

Most bad technology spend starts the same way: with a tool, not a problem.

Someone sees a slick demo, gets excited, and buys it. Six months later it's barely used, because it was never tied to a real problem in the first place.

Flip the order. Name the problem. Understand it properly. Then, and only then, go looking for what solves it.

The best tech decision is sometimes realising you didn't need the tool at all.

AI is where this is playing out right now. Impressive demos everywhere. The question hasn't changed: what problem is it solving?

You're probably paying for Microsoft 365 features you're not using.

Most businesses use a fraction of what they already own. The licences are there. The capability is there. But the rollout, the training and the setup never quite happened.

That's money spent on potential you're not getting.

It matters more with AI in the picture. Copilot sits on top of the Microsoft 365 you already own, and it's only as useful as the data, permissions and habits underneath it.

Before you buy the next tool, it's worth asking: are we actually using what we've already got?

Your team is using tools you've never approved. Not maliciously, just to get the job done.

A free app here, a personal cloud account there, a workaround that became a habit. It's called shadow IT, and while it usually starts with good intentions, it scatters your data across places you can't see, secure or control.

The answer isn't to crack down. It's to understand why people reached for those tools in the first place, and give them something better.

Do you actually know every tool your business runs on?

Before the next tool decision, know what you're working with. Enter to win a free AI Readiness Assessment: https://consulting-win.technetics.com.au

20+ years in technology teaches you one thing above all: it was never really about the technology.

It's about the people relying on it. The business depending on it. The trust you earn when you tell someone the truth instead of the upsell.

The tools change constantly. The principles don't: be straight with people, solve the real problem, and treat their business like it matters.

That's the part that lasts.

That's the kind of partner we try to be. If it's missing from your current setup, let's talk.
