IMPORTANT ALERT!!
One of my customers this week was a had his phone number taken over by scammers!! Once they had control of his phone number then they could get around the 2 factor authentication that many websites use to allow access.
(You know.. it's when they send you an sms with a code on it)
So the question becomes how can I stop this? The answer is simple... call you telephone provider (Telstra, Optus etc) and have them add a pin number to your account (don't use you birthday or anything easy to guess)

SIM card vulnerabilities leave organizations exposed to SIM swapping and SIM cloning attacks. IBM X-Force findings from dark web analysis suggest these threats are not slowing down anytime soon.
