Kinetic type animation - uni group project.

We chose a funny video spoofing a movie heist-planning scene. We divided the audio into four parts and agreed on a colour palette and overall aesthetic to tie the four clips together. However, each person brought their own unique style to their animation.

This clip is my contribution to the project.

The creative process included:
🟠 Researching type animation
🟠 Analysing the script
🟠 Creating storyboards
🟠 Animating in Adobe After Effects

Great team and a fun project. πŸ˜€

Flourish magazine in print!

There is nothing quite like being able to see and touch your work in real life.

This is one of my latest design projects. It builds on the themes from my handmade zine, Artists vs The Algorithm.

All the illustrations and photos are mine. I even created a custom display font for the article headings.

Software used: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Fontself.

And a huge thanks to Rogue Create + Print for such a fantastic print job, great customer service, and having such detailed artwork prep instructions on your website. πŸ˜€

Stop-motion throwback - Dinosaur vs Soldier Epic Battle. πŸ¦•

I made this with my son 4 years ago. The video popped up as a memory in my Facebook feed today, and it made me smile. A simple animation project, but we had fun making it.

Thought I'd post it for a giggle. I found the original video file, added music, filters, and some effects.

Now I want to make more stop-motion. πŸ˜€πŸŽžοΈ

Fresco painting-inspired illustrations.

I created them in Procreate, digitally replicating the fresco style of painting. Fresco is a mural painting technique. Painting on wet lime plaster, layers are built up gradually, beginning with a rough underlayer.

The illustrations were for one of my graphic design assignments in 2025. The brief? Design three vertical banners for a fictional museum exhibition. I chose Roman vs Greek mythology.

I really enjoyed learning about fresco painting and then adapting the technique for digital tools.

My favourite flower is the daisy. And of all the daisies, the simple white daisy with a yellow centre is my absolute favourite.

It's known as the common English Daisy (Bellis perennis L.) and is considered a w**d. It grows in your lawn. The bees love them. And it is perfect for making daisy chains.

(Have you ever made one?)

To celebrate this simply beautiful flower, I created this illustration in Procreate

Learning new skills - making brushes in Affinity Designer 2 for iPad. πŸ–ŒοΈ

On the weekend I discovered that Affinity has an app for the iPad AND I can make brushes from my illustrations.

This made me very happy. πŸ˜€

I did export my word into Procreate to create the final artwork. It's my 'go to' drawing app. But, I'm looking forward to learning how to use Affinity on my iPad.

Big thanks to Ian Barnard for sharing a reel on how to do it. 🧑

Noir-style movie title sequence animation. πŸŽžοΈπŸ“½οΈ

I created this for my university motion design course using Adobe After Effects.

I really love designing title sequences. I'm a big fan of Saul Bass. His work heavily influenced my approach to this project.
