Did a 1 hour training session with a Traffic Manager yesterday, she's so excited that she is getting rid of the spreadsheet she was using to manage capacity. Her colleague (the Studio Manager) remarked at how happy she was! 🙂

Do you need to book media? We’ve just added the ability to plan media schedules, generate the bookings, plan your digital media budgets, track actual spend against your budgeted media, generate booking confirmations and invoice the media to your client.

The media module has just gone into beta and our advertising agency client is very happy with the results.

This has been the most incredible start to a year. We've been upgrading clients to v7 like crazy and I've been having the most amazing conversations with clients about what they want to do to improve their businesses.

A case in point today: a client in Brisbane, reviewing the way that they manage jobs and looking at upgrading from v6 Essentials to v7 using Visual Planning. Quote: "We want one source of truth".

There you have it - the power of a truly integrated system.

I've been having a great time in Perth this week, visiting clients and showing them v7. What I'm really enjoying is how many people are asking me about Visual Planning, something that we have had in JobBag for 5 years now. It seems we were a bit before our time.

The key point is that we join all the dots from estimating through to planning and resource management and it seamlessly integrates with all the rest of JobBag. For one client in particular, the penny dropped that this is the starting point for creating timelines for clients.

Think of a long row of dominos, and you get to push over the first domino...

Last week we took a NZ client up to JobBag v7, and it was really well received. So far their Finance Manager has sent us two emails telling us how much she loves the new features in v7 that she has come across. What is really neat is that she took the time to tell us. 1st June 1992 was the day that we started the journey with our software, JobBag. 24 years later, there's a lot of water that has flowed under this bridge. We wouldn't have got here without the talents of Daniel Weinstein (who was Development Director for 17 of those years), Bastiaan Olij (Head of Development), David Price, Jane Olsen and a whole host of people that I have enjoyed working with over the years.

I've met some amazing people as clients who have become great friends, and it has been a pleasure to help them in their business journey. Many of them are now great friends and it feels like they will be friends for life.

Thanks to all who have shared the journey so far, there's lots more coming with the release of v7. The innovations don't stop coming, this year and next will be full of surprises.
