πŸš€ We are thrilled to launch the Ripple Women's Digital Health Challenge cohort!

After announcing the two winners of the challenge, we have expanded our support to form a cohort of 26 clinicians, researchers, public health specialists and innovators, each building solutions targeting some of the most overlooked gaps in women's health.

From hyperemesis gravidarum and menstrual wellbeing for women with ADHD to menopause support for South Asian communities and breast health awareness for black women, this cohort is building patient-facing digital tools for the conditions that have been dismissed and underfunded for too long. πŸ’œ

Delivered in partnership with Health Innovation Network, Amazon Web Services and SomX, these innovators are now being supported to design, and build their solutions, with further guidance on planning pilots, generating evidence, evaluating economic impact and preparing for adoption by health providers. Pilots are already being planned in the East of England through Health Innovation East's Innovator Landing Zones, enabling solutions to be introduced and tested within real-world clinical settings.

The innovators in this Cohort will have the opportunity to be supported by Ripple Scale, the digital health publisher, that will form a curated women's health portfolio for adoption by health provider. 🌍

We are committed to supporting every innovator in this cohort as they design, build and pilot their solutions. Watch this space as their journey begins and the impact starts to grow. 🌱

Imagine a parent worried about their child’s speech problems. Or a woman dealing with endometriosis pain. Or an elderly person with kidney stones.

They could spend months on waiting lists or struggle between appointments, dealing with symptoms all alone. They need the right care and support, at the right time. ⏳

Healthcare challenges are diverse and highly specific. Health providers need hundreds of targeted preventative, care and support apps to close the gap in care.

But assessing, adopting and scaling so many digital solutions one by one is simply not possible for providers.

Ripple Scale combines proven apps into curated portfolios aligned to existing care pathways. Each portfolio brings together complementary apps covering the full range of needs within one care pathway. 🏘️

Built by clinicians and researchers, packaged for health providers to adopt in a single step, making them easier to deploy at scale.

βœ… One contract. One underlying tech stack. One experience for patients.

πŸ’œ So the right care can finally reach the people who need it most.

Join the movement for better health outcomes, greater equity, and getting trusted digital products into the hands of patients. 🌍

People are missing out on digital care that already exists.

Most digital health apps designed for prevention, care or support, never reach the people they intend to serve.

Why? Because every product needs to be assessed separately, procured separately and implemented separately. Health systems and providers simply cannot adopt them at scale.

Today, a new category emerges to fix just that.

πŸš€ We're thrilled to launch Ripple Scale, the Digital Health Publisher, that is built to break the adoption barrier for therapeutic and preventative apps. It packages solutions into portfolios aligned with care pathways that health providers can adopt in a single step: one contract. one implementation. one experience for patients.

Driving Ripple Scale's mission as Managing Director is Heather Cook, who brings over 25 years at the intersection of health systems, policy and innovation, from large-scale NHS reform to building NHS-commissioned digital health ventures. Heather is an NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellow and an elected member of the techUK Board of Directors.

πŸ’¬ In Heather's words, "A digital health publishing platform is the missing commercial layer between clinical insight and scalable product. It lets clinicians and researchers monetise their expertise like authors, not gamble their careers like startup founders."

πŸ’¬ As Leon Young, Executive Chairman, puts it, "For years, we have seen brilliant innovations fail to scale, not because they lack value, but because the system cannot adopt them. Ripple exists to build that missing mechanism, one that works for both innovators and the health system."

A lot of great ideas stall after the pilot, simply because the road ahead becomes overwhelming.

Many clinicians and researchers feel like making a digital product work means leaving their profession, raising money alone, and effectively becoming a whole company by themselves.

It doesn’t have to work like that. Some teams choose to build alongside partners who handle publishing, operations and scaling, so they can stay focused on their academic, clinical or community work.

So here’s the question: How many great digital therapeutics would go further if the creators were fully supported during their commercialisation journey?

What a wonderful week at the Digital Health Rewired! πŸ‘

Proud to have shared our vision for specialised no-code infrastructure for digital health at the Pitchfest final, with great conversations at our stand around neighbourhood health and how health systems can build a pathway in a day.

πŸ’¬ As our Managing Director Dr Lloyd Humphreys put it, β€œIt's not about creating more apps. It's about the right apps, built by the people who understand the problems best.”
