Meet Yesenia Jazmín Chapula Gutiérrez, Program Consultant at ProSociedad in Mexico👋

Yesenia helps local organizations educate and support women in Mexico to become financially independent. As the creator of the program's educational content, Yesenia knows firsthand the impact it can have:

“Often, women can’t attend workshops in person because of their family responsibilities. With EdApp, they can complete the work they missed at their own pace on their mobile. We haven’t had that before.

We had a woman who was a victim of domestic violence, and it wasn’t until she started the program that she realised she was being emotionally and financially abused. She is now divorced and, through the training process, is now a facilitator for one of our Second Chance learning centres.”

Madina Walizada sits in the back of a taxi in Kabul completing a lesson on 'Unlocking women’s entrepreneurship through artificial intelligence in Afghanistan and Iraq'.

Unable to finish school due to social barriers and sexual discrimination, she signed up for EdApp's UNITAR courses because she wanted to start her own business but didn’t have the knowledge of where to start.

We help organizations like UNITAR around the world break down the barriers that exist around learning opportunities for women like Madina.

We're also taking our own stand to help break the bias within the office. SafetyCulture is introducing a new policy. Women who experience a miscarriage will have access to 10 days of paid miscarriage leave. With this policy, employees to be able to recover from miscarriage with the space and necessary time away from work that is needed to heal.

✳️ 1,800 wanted to make learning more accessible so they created content for our free course library.
